Postdoctoral Research Position in Macrophage Cell Biology and Intravital Microscopy

The laboratories of Dr. Adam Hoppe and Dr. Darci Fink at South Dakota State University invite applications for a full-time postdoctoral research fellow.  This position will lead a collaborative effort between these two research groups to extend studies of macrophage Fc receptor-mediated phagocytosis and macrophage-lymphatic interactions to an intravital microscopy platform.

Dr. Adam Hoppe is the director of a cross-disciplinary multi-institution research center - the BioSystems Networks and Translational Research Center (BioSNTR; <www.biosntr.sdepscor.org>).  BioSNTR provides a rich network of collaborative scientists across South Dakota with state-of-the-art imaging and bioinformatics tools to address complex biological questions.  The successful applicant will have access to world-class instrumentation and computing resources including an Olympus FLUOVIEW FVMPE-RS Multi Photon Laser Scanning Microscope equipped with two infrared wavelength femtosecond pulse lasers, an Illumina NextSeq high-throughput next-generation sequencing platform, and a high performance computing cluster.
