The Department of Biology at the University of Virginia seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Dr. Andrés Norambuena's endeavors to study a novel molecular mechanism regulating mitochondrial function and its potential role in Alzheimer's disease (EMBO J. 2018;37(22). pii: e100241).
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A Ph.D. degree in Cell/Molecular Biology, Neuroscience or related discipline is required by the appointment start date. The candidate must have effective oral and written communication skills and should have a strong experience with cell culture (primary and cell lines), cell and molecular biology techniques, confocal microscopy. Mouse models and screening technologies are desirable
