Quantitative analysis of 4D genome organization and cellular plasticity A 2-year INCa (Institut National du Cancer) funded postdoctoral position is available at the CBI (Centre de Biologie Intégrative) Toulouse, France, to study chromatin signatures in human mammary tumour cells. Our hypothesis is that phenotypic properties and gene expression programs related to cellular plasticity may be accompanied by reversible changes in nuclear organization. To determine spatial and dynamic information on specific genomic sites, the project is largely based on quantitative analysis of genome structure using fluorescence imaging of fixed and living cells. Our objectives are technological and fundamental towards characterization of the very early steps in oncogenesis and change of cellular identity. The successful candidate should have a PhD in (cell or molecular biology or biophysics). Experience in acquisition and development of high through-put fluorescence microscopy of mammalian cells would be a plus. Personal skills: Highly motivated, ability and desire to work in a collaborative research environment, very good interpersonal skills, willingness to share knowledge and transfer skills to other members of the group, Very good written and verbal communication ability in English. To apply, please send a brief description of your research interests and career goals, CV, and contact information of two referees to [hidden email] Prof. Kerstin Bystricky Chromatin and Gene Expression group Laboratoire de Biologie Moléculaire Eucaryote LBME - CNRS Center for Integrative Biology CBI University of Toulouse http://www-lbme.biotoul.fr/ http://www.ups-tlse.fr/ http://www.cbi-toulouse.fr/eng/equipe-bystricky Best, Haitham Shaban, PhD Chromatin and Gene Expression group Laboratoire de Biologie Moléculaire Eucaryote LBME - CNRS Center for Integrative Biology CBI University of Toulouse http://www-lbme.biotoul.fr/ http://www.ups-tlse.fr/ http://www.cbi-toulouse.fr/eng/equipe-bystricky |
