Hi,
I wondered if any facility managers would mind sharing their plans with booking software with the new privacy laws? We hold email addresses, contact details and project information on the ppms system and I am hoping just a statement explaining what data we have and how we use it for users to read as they log in is enough?

Dear Alison

What we are doing with agendo.science (PPMS competitor) is the following apart from the technical aspects:

1) terms of use with whom are we sharing the data
2) what are we recording and why
3) what is our role
4) were the data is

Please note that we are considered as a data processor: the owner of the data is the institution. This means that if the users asks to be forgotten, the institution needs to give the ok for example.

But I would not be concerned with that. I’m more concerned if people put for example patient data in our platform. In our case we have a form builder for making facility surveys, equipment surveys etc, that can also be used for making a clinical survey for example. We have no way to control this expect stating in the terms that this is not the propose of the application. Any tip here is welcome.

Good question,
Does it matter that the data is stored on the Stratocore servers (in the case of PPMS)? Or that the booking calendar provides a good estimate of the location of a lot of users at the time of booking/microscope usage?
