About the Role:
Consults with customers and sales/applications specialists to understand and
provide extensive application support on issues related to widefield and confocal
microscopy. Supports exhibitions and organizes short course support, including
planning, communicating, teaching and reporting. Handles demonstration system
logistics and confirms correct system functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Triage technical problems
- Resolve and communicate support requests.
- Conduct software testing
- Test and confirm demo system functionality
- Conduct training courses for customers and employees
- Participate and teach in customer workshops
- As needed, travel to customer sites to assist in sales process.
Qualifications
Professional Experience:
- 3+ years in research, applying biological imaging techniques to relevant scientific
problems
- Experience in a customer-facing support role
- Maintain and troubleshoot advanced imaging equipment, hardware and software
- Teaching experience, provide training to others on how to apply imaging
equipment and techniques to solve scientific questions.
- Familiarity with biological imaging applications
Education:
- BA/BS in bio-sciences minimum
- Masters or PhD degree preferred
