Dear all,
I wish to peel off an Intel 586 CPU chip as a microscopic sample. Previously I found that it is quite easy to open a Cyrix one with a screw driver; but when I try to open this 586 chip I failed once. The top was totally ruined (see Fig. 1 Right). Now I still have another good one handy, could you please let me know how should I do to open it? It seems that the top of it is made of silicon, when I try to open it with a small screw driver, a crash is shown (see Fig. 1 Left). The picture is at: http://xipeng.c-sight.org/CPU_question.htm
Thank you!
