it might well be that I'm a bit late with my response. I know that Clarity, the laser-free spinning disk confocal add-on from Aurox.co.uk, works extremely well with MetaMorph via a drop-in from ImagXcel. The speed is unbeatable and adds on the very low bleaching and confocality.
In case you already have a microscope frame (what-ever brand) you would be well of with Clarity add-on, a camera and a LED light source, also financially.
