'go' on a Ti:Saph is its pump diodes. They have a finite lifespan, although
they're usually good for 'many years' of use. They typically cost about
$10-20k to replace. If you have a way to monitor the current driving the
pump diodes you can get a clue as to how healthy your diodes are. Once or
twice a month, check the current required to drive the laser at your usual
operating power and note it down. If you see the current value start to
climb significantly over the months, your diodes are probably nearing the
end of their lifespan.
