I know people are usually looking for standards at the other end of the scale! I've had a look at Bangs Laboratories and Spherotech but they don't seem to have anything large enough... With this in mind, you can mix a bit of fluorescent dye with some immersion oil, and mount some glass beads such as these: http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/sigma/g1145?lang=en®ion=US Not only are glass beads cheap and come in a wide range of diameters, but they can also be used to prop up coverslips and keep them from crushing samples. Hope this helps, Ben Smith ________________________________________ From: Confocal Microscopy List <[hidden email]> on behalf of Kilgore, Jason <[hidden email]> Sent: Wednesday, April 20, 2016 12:13 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: Fluorescent spheres - range 100um -1000um **Vendor Reply** ***** To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy Post images on http://www.imgur.com and include the link in your posting. ***** ** Vendor Reply ** Thermo Fisher Scientific offers the Fluoro-Max beads in sizes up to 140 um, in green or red emission, which is at least at the lower end of your desired size range.
