Dear all
I clearly support the project ImageJ2. For me there is very little doubt
that ImageJ/fiji is the major scientific image processing software that is
used around the world. And of course like every software there is now and
then a need to completely redesign it; as a non computer expert I assumed
that this is one of  the major goals of this initiative.

I therefore think that it clearly deserves our support!

Dear Martin,

Thank you for your support and interest. If you are interested in following the progress I encourage you to join the ImageJ list where we make more regular updates. However we will make more of a effort to post major developments as appropriate here on the Confocal list given the likely interest. Also to be clear the goal of the project is to retain the many current strengths of ImageJ and ensure compatibility while adding new functionality. This is already happening and much of it being realized through FIJI.
