Each Leica microscope has a serial number and a set of files associated with it. This is your hardware. Leica keeps records of the files.
Especially the Hardware.lhw file has your configuration information specific for your specific scope.
One folder under LCS should have Calibration Data, and the other has Instrument Parameters. It is possible a generic file, will not have these.
This might explain your error, if you are installing the SW on a newer PC.
