An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Image Analyst to join the Centre for Dynamic Imaging (CDI) at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, an internationally recognised Medical Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia.

The CDI provides researchers with access to expertise and cutting-edge resources for live cell and intravital microscopy, including a Zeiss LSM 880 NLO plus Airyscan, Olympus FVMPE-RS, a Leica SP8 with resonant scanner, an Opera Phenix high content screening platform and a Zeiss Z1 Light Sheet Microscope. We are seeking a highly motivated and well organised image analyst with a PhD in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics or related field to join our team.

The candidate should possess advanced computer skills and experience working with image analysis software, such as MATLAB, FIJI/ImageJ, Imaris or OMERO. An essential part of the role will be to provide expert assistance with the archiving, visualisation and processing of large datasets, This will include the development of image analysis pipelines, which are tailored to individual projects. The position would suit someone who is also highly motivated to provide training to researchers on how to use various software packages, which may include the organisation of workshops or development of online tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for a postdoctoral scientist to collaborate with leading laboratories at the Institute. The position is available immediately for 3 years in the first instance. Salary will be within the range of $83,953 - $90,114 AUD, dependent on qualifications and experience. Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are also available.
