Best wishes, Kelly -------------------------------------------------------------- An opportunity exists for an experienced postdoctoral scientist (Research Officer) to join the Breast Cancer Laboratory, Stem Cells and Cancer Division of The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI). The position will be in the research lab of Professors Jane Visvader and Geoff Lindeman. The lab works on mammary gland developmental biology, with an emphasis on elucidating the hierarchy of epithelial cells arising from mammary stem cells, and understanding molecular and cellular perturbations that give rise to breast cancer. Laboratory research spans from mouse to human models. More information about the lab is available from: http://www.wehi.edu.au/people/jane-visvader The appointee should have a strong interest in confocal imaging and developmental or tumour biology. Applicants should possess a doctorate (PhD) in a relevant field such as developmental biology, tumour biology, molecular biology or imaging. The appointee will have exposure and skills in these areas. Prior experience in imaging is not essential, but the applicant must be highly motivated to work on imaging to explore biology. The candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team. The position will be for 2 years in the first instance. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Up to 17% superannuation and attractive salary packaging options are available. A position description is available.
