To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Dear List We have a Perkin Elmer UltraView ERS spinning disk confocal. Our 568 gas laser has died. I would like to replace it with a diode laser. Can any one suggest a company that will provide third party lasers and install them on these systems. Thank you Lloyd Williams Director Bio-Imaging & Network Core Facilities Department of Biological Sciences Rm. 826 HN 695 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10065 212 650 3872; fax: 212 650-3656 |

Aside from PE, I think the only other choice is... http://www.spectral.ca/products/mergemodule/index.html This product is even compatible with Volocity If you find additional vendors - please let me know! To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Hi Lloyd, As Andrew said, Spectral Applied will install such lasers on Perkin-Elmer-bought systems - they did so on mine a few years ago. We run our system under MetaMorph but there are other options. You're most welcome to swing by and take a look at them if you like, since we're only just down the road from you.... To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** I think Spectral Applied Research distributes through BioVision in NYC (including lots of other places) - www.BioVis.com Perhaps Alison can confirm or Spectral will let you know. I have heard good things about both companies from multiple colleagues. I have seen their products, but do not have equipment from them in my core (due to historical reasons). No commercial interest. --------------------------------------- Lisa Cameron, Ph.D. Director of Confocal and Light Microscopy Dana Farber Cancer Institute Boston, MA -----Original Message----- From: Confocal Microscopy List [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Alison North Sent: Wednesday, September 04, 2013 1:54 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [CONFOCALMICROSCOPY] Replacement Diode Laser Perkin Elmer Ultra View ***** To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Hi Lloyd, As Andrew said, Spectral Applied will install such lasers on Perkin-Elmer-bought systems - they did so on mine a few years ago.
