Research Assistant/confocal microscopist job - Duke-NUS (Singapore)

Below is a job posting I have been asked to circulate to the list. Please
spread the word to anyone you think may be interested. Contact Dr Hongyan
Wang [hidden email] with queries or to submit an application.

Research Assistant position is available in Laboratory of Neural Stem cells
at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore

The main job scopes include overseeing a laser scanning Confocal, carrying
out research projects and routine lab organization.

Research area:
Fruit fly Drosophila neural stem cells, larval brain neuroblasts, has
recently emerged as an excellent model for the study of stem cell
self-renewal and tumorigenesis. The balance between self-renewal and
differentiation are achieved by asymmetric division of neuroblasts,
Drosophila neural stem cells.  Defects in asymmetric cell division can
results in the imbalance that leads to brain tumor formation. We are
interested in studying the molecular mechanism of asymmetric division of
neuroblasts and the balance of self-renewal and differentiation. We use a
combination of genetics, cell biology and biochemical approaches to study
the functions of critical brain tumor suppressors. The lab website is as
follow: http://www.duke-nus.edu.sg/web/research_faculty_hongyan.htm

Applicants should have a Bachelor's or a Master's of Science. Self-motivated
people with good technical and communication skills are strongly encouraged
to apply. Previously experiences in microscopy or research background in
cell Biology, developmental biology or Biochemistry are desirable, although
not essential.

CV and 3 reference letters should be sent to Dr. Hongyan Wang at
