Postgraduate Research Assistant - Super-resolution Microscopy and Image
Analysis of Cellular Ultrastructure

Department of Biochemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford
Grade 6: £26,527 - £31,644 p.a.

We are seeking to appoint a Postgraduate Research Assistant to work
within the Micron Oxford Advanced Bioimaging Unit on super-resolution
microscopy and image analysis of cellular ultrastructure.

Applicants should possess an academic degree (Bachelor/Master) in a
relevant discipline of science and molecular laboratory-based discipline
of biology. The applicant should have proven experience in advanced
fluorescence (ideally super-resolution) microscopy and computational
image analysis and should bring in a genuine interest in cellular and
nuclear structure and function, as well as the technical aspects of
advanced optical imaging.

This full-time post is funded by the Wellcome Trust, is fixed-term for
up to 18 months in the first instance and is based at the Department of
Biochemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford.

The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and
relevant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding
available.
