Dear colleagues,
the Advanced Imaging Unit at the Gulbenkian Institute of Science in Oeiras Portugal has
opened a Research Fellowship for a PhD holder/Advanced Optical Microscopy Technician.
The candidates must have experience with high-end 2D and 3D imaging techniques such as
fluorescence wide-field+deconvolution, confocal and multiphoton microscopy, and data
handling and analysis with sofware such as ImageJ/FIJI, Imaris, Huygens, Cell Profiler (or
equivalent). Other skills desired: experience with live-cell imaging and sample preparation,
intra-vital imaging, and at least basic knowledge of programming for data analysis and
statistics.
