A Ph.D. in biomedical engineering is required. The incumbent will focus on researching protein-protein interactions in living cells and tissues in four dimensions. The incumbent should have experience in the development and maintenance of Java language based PFRET data acquisition and analysis for two- and three-color protein studies using various light microscopy imaging systems including widefield, confocal, spectral, multiphoton and lifetime (time and frequency domain). The incumbent should have experience in preparing research articles in two- and three-color protein studies using GHFT1 cells to publish in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. The incumbent also has the responsibility to manage, maintain, operate and train others with the above mentioned microscopy systems and newly developed imaging systems at the Keck Center for Cellular Imaging.
