The University Imaging Centers has an immediate opening for a University of Minnesota Researcher 3 position to play a crucial role in the University Imaging Centers (UIC). The University Imaging Centers (UIC) compose a network of core imaging facilities for light microscopy, basic electron microscopy and in vivo imaging located in multiple locations within the Medical School and College of Biological Sciences at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Should have a first
degree (B.Sc. or greater) in biology or physics/optics.
- Experience in pre-clinical, in vivo imaging of small animals. Specifically in microPET/CT and may include X-ray, bioluminescence, fluorescence, ultrasound and small animal (rodent)
handling, This person may also expand into widefield and scanning confocal
microscopy; multi-photon microscopy, live-cell imaging methods located within
the UIC.
- Familiarity with image
processing software for image processing and image analysis.
- Experience in a shared facility is a plus.
