The Gerlich laboratory investigates fundamental cellular processes using cutting-edge microscopy, high-throughput DNA sequencing, biochemical, and biophysical approaches. We have developed the open source software CellCognition for automated analysis of high-content screening data by computer vision and machine learning techniques. We are searching for a new team member, who is interested to implement and apply computational methods for the analysis of high-throughput microscopy data. Applicants should hold a degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) and should be proficient in image analysis, machine learning, and programming (preferentially Python and C++). Candidates are expected to be fluent in English and have good communication- and interpersonal skills such that they become an integral part of our team.
