Hello all,

We have a 30x Olympus silicone immersion objective (UPLSAPO30XS, 1.05 NA) with a stuck correction collar.  Does anyone have any experience / suggestions on how to get it unstuck? Or would you recommend to get it professionally repaired?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks, Kristina

Maybe you can heat it with a gun heat. I did it on a Leica objectiv and turn the collar.

Hi Kristina;
        I've used Marvel oil to unstick correction collars. It's a penetrating oil. Minimal amount, let it sit, try to work it loose, add some more oil (small amounts), repeat.
