A position will be opening soon in the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Systems Neuroscience Imaging Resource (SNIR). The SNIR mission is to make tools for contemporary light microscopy based molecular anatomy accessible to NIMH investigators. We support several confocal, high throughput widefield, and light sheet microscopes. Our emphasis is on systems level approaches including tissue clearing and imaging of large volumes. In collaboration with a group in the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) we are developing a whole-brain diSPIM pipeline. We are looking for someone to provide some general support for the group and to focus on implementing a project using the diSPIM microscope for whole brain imaging. An appropriate candidate may be seeking a long-term support position or desire to use this position as a step toward another position, such as facility management. Contact Ted Usdin (
