Dear All-

Many of you are thinking about mechanisms for archiving and releasing
original data associated with scientific publications.

Last week, the Stowers Institute announced their institutional repository
for original data associated with their publications. The announcement is
here:

The Stowers ODR is based on Bio-Formats and OMERO, open source technology
built by the OME Consortium (http://www.openmicroscopy.org/).  The OME
Consortium is supported by grants from the Wellcome Trust and the BBSRC.

As you probably know, the JCB DataViewer

are other examples of public image repositories based on OMERO and

The OME Consortium is proud that its technology is helping make scientific
