Duties & Responsibilities	The Nikon Imaging Center at Harvard Medical School is a large core light microscopy facility used by research scientists throughout the Longwood Medical area in Boston, MA.  The person filling this position will learn to train research scientists to use the equipment in the core facility, assist the Director in teaching courses on light microscopy, and perform maintenance and evaluation duties on the microscopes in the facility, including spinning-disk confocals, a laser scanning confocal, and Total Internal Reflection (TIRF) systems. The person in this position will also perform administrative duties as needed for billing, ordering supplies, organizing workshop courses, and keeping the NIC website up to date. Perform related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications	College background or 1-2 yrs related work experience (relevant course work may count towards experience).
Additional Qualifications	B.A. or B.S. or equivalent preferred; exceptional organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task, and patience; computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows;  light microscopy experience preferred; ability to take direction and work well with others.
