Tempcontroller 37-2 woes

Search the CONFOCAL archive at http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal

hi folks, I recently got hold of a Pecon temp controller 37-2 and Co2 controller... however, its not working well... in that it does not read back the real temp of either the gas line or the stage insert.  Does anyone a: know what the problem is b: have a service manual that a decent electrical shop could use to fix it.

Thanks

simon

Re: Tempcontroller 37-2 woes

Search the CONFOCAL archive at http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal Simon,

No service manuals or direct experience with the pecon controller.  However, after building some of my own equipment, my best guess is that there is disconnect between the temp sensors and the controller check all wire junctions for fraying etc.  If the device is using thermocouples, it could also be a short between the two wires of the TC.

Good Luck,
