Hi All,

Any opinions on this sled?

Thinking about use in a core, so stability is a primary concern.
Particularly since we are considering a two-fiber output.

Would be running under uManager.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Gary,

I did not see any response to this question from you yet. I'm the N. American product expert for the TOPTICA iChrome MLE.

The TOPTICA MLE is actually not a SLED ,but is a Multi Laser Engine configurable to have up to 4 laser lines coming out of one single-mode fiber.

To your question of stability:

Power stability: +/- 2% (24hrs @ room temperature)
RMS Noise 10z-10MHz <0.2%
Long-term Output power ave. <5% over 1000 hrs

Adding the internal fiber switcher option reduces the specified power output by approximately 50%. We have not observed any noticeable effect on stability with the switcher add-on.

It's our standard microscopy product. You may have noticed at the SfN or Biophysical shows that many of the major and niche microcopy companies have the MLE integrated into their standard product lines. More specifications can be found on the online product page (http://www.toptica.com/products/multi-laser-engines/ichrome-mle/).

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me privately for any other questions or to point to you users in specific application fields.
