Good afternoon,

Does anyone know of a USA source for purchasing 405 nm portable lasers (Class IIIb, ~100 mW)?

I previously purchased Electra-Pro-100 Violet Laser Pointers from Laserglow Technologies in Canada, but they can no longer ship >5mW lasers to the US due to changes in FDA regulations.

Any help would be much appreciated.

a 50,100,140 and 200 mW version. I"m not sure exactly what you mean by
"portable"

By portable, I mean handheld (bigger, fatter version of a laser pointer), like this one:

are searching for lasers of around the same price range as your original
Lightsaber...

I swear stupid kids who never grow up will be the end of us all, why did
"The Man" just block all imports of high powered laser pointers? Probably
because people acted unsafe one too many times, OR He just loves to take
away our fun, joy, and rights.

Frankly. I think your easiest option would be to go to Canada and get your laser.  Surely that can't be very expensive?  I have a ~60mW 405nm laser pointer I bought in Taiwan.  I could not have purchased it in Australia.  The reason is understandable - used as a laser pointer it could be very dangerous.  I don't use it as a pointer, I use it for class demonstrations, where the beam could not accidentally hit anyone as a result of hand-waving.

There were basically too many high power laser pointers being shone at
helicopters and planes. This has been going down as the stupid weed
themselves out though. The Calgary police have helicopters, and a year or
so ago some yahoo shone a laser pointer at them from his back yard at
night. He was arrested in about 5 minutes as he was creating a giant line
in the sky pointing directly at his house. Luckily so far the Canadian
government hasn't reacted to any incidents like this with legislation, and
hopefully people knock it off before this becomes a thing up here.
