About CFIM was inaugurated in 2010 and services approximately 700 users from The Faculty of Health Sciences, other faculties and universities and commercial companies with access to state of the art light- and electron microscopes within life science research. CFIM is run by a dynamic, highly international working group with members from Denmark, Italy, Iran, Germany, USA and Spain. Job Description On a daily basis the successful applicant will be in charge of maintaining the light microscopes and the GMO1 certified wet cell prep lab at CFIM. The position will also involve the development and implementation of new microscopy applications, training and supervising CFIM users, as well as teaching and instructing at CFIM courses in light microscopy. Qualifications The successful applicant must have experience within light microscopy, molecular biology, cell culture (primary and immortalized), cellular physiology, immunofluorescence techniques and live cell imaging. Experience with Zeiss LSMs (710 series), Cell Observer SD and PALM microscopes (fluorescence -, confocal -, laser dissection -, TIRF and spinning disc microscopy), super resolution (SIM and SMLM), CLEM and image post-processing will be of great advantage. A CFIM expansion is scheduled in the near future and new techniques will include 2-photon confocal, light sheet, and soft X-ray. English at a scientific level and strong IT skills are mandatory requirements.
