RESEARCH ASSOCIATE/RESEARCH FELLOW  (REF: 2466)

WESTERN AUSTRALIAN SUPERCOMPUTER PROGRAM (WASP) and

CENTRE FOR MICROSCOPY CHARACTERISATION AND ANALYSIS (CMCA)

·        12 month appointment - further employment of 2 years will be dependent on funding

·        Salary range:  Level A $50,372 - $68,358 p.a. - minimum starting salary for appointee with PhD will be $63,682 p.a.

·        Salary range:  Level B  $71,957 - $85,450 p.a.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated researcher to develop and apply visualisation tools in collaboration with researchers using microscopy and imaging techniques across various disciplines at UWA.  The appointment will be made as a Research Associate or Research Fellow, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a joint appointment between the Western Australian Supercomputer Program at UWA and the Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis, under the auspices of the Bioimaging Initiative at UWA.

 

The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with WASP and CMCA staff and University researchers to develop and implement visualisation applications for multi-dimensional datasets.  Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent experience in a field relevant to computer visualisation and a desire to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment as part of the UWA Bioimaging Initiative.
