To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Hi all, we are using SYLGARD 184 silicone elastomer kit for gluing plates and chambers. But I'm wondering are there any other alternatives you could suggest? Sincerely, Svetlana |

If I might ask, why are you looking for alternatives? Nontoxic and dries fast. ________________________________________ From: Confocal Microscopy List <[hidden email]> on behalf of Svetlana Kurilova <[hidden email]> Sent: Saturday, March 22, 2014 3:49 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: What products do you use to glue a glass coverslip to a chamber? ***** To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Michael, that product works just fine and I personally like it but: 1. there is never enough a curing agent for a provided amount of a base agent (even considering the 1:9 mass ratio) 2. it takes more than 24 hours for clue to completely dry out 3. the shipping from that company is almost the same with a product price |

Since it is used for humans, I supposed it to be non-toxic. It dries fast and is easy to remove without remainings. Marcus |
