Dear Colleagues,

You are in invited to attend the 10th LFD Workshop in Advanced Fluorescence
Imaging and Dynamics.

Dates: October 26-30, 2015

Location: Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics, University of California,
Irvine, Located in beautiful Southern California (40min South of Los
Angeles and 10 min away from the beach).

Once a year the Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics (LFD) organizes an
advanced workshop, which outlines the advanced concepts of fluorescence
imaging techniques and instrumentation.

The workshop consists of:
- advanced theoretical lectures by LFD scientists and invited speakers.
- computer based training on data analysis and simulations using Globals
for Images software.
-  hands on laboratory training using the fluorescence microscopy
instrumentation of the LFD facility.

The workshop is designed for students who use fluorescence microscopy
instrumentation and techniques, as well as for researchers and industrial
scientists who intend to extend their knowledge of these fields.
Topics on the agenda:

- Single Point and Scanning Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS)
- Raster Image Correlation Spectroscopy (RICS)
- Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) and Förster Resonance Energy
Transfer (FRET)
- Number and Brightness (N&B)
- Particle Tracking (PT) in three dimensions
- Deep tissue imaging, DIVER
- Single plane illumination microscopy (SPIM)
- Data analysis and simulations using Globals for Images · SimFCS software

There will be up to 6 registration waivers for students. The winners will
have the opportunity to present their work as a poster during the workshop.
Please submit a short abstract of your work (half page) and a support
letter from your advisor before September 25, 2015,

For details about the workshop please visit:
