Hello all -

I apologize if this is replicating other posts, but now very timely -

What are Zeiss lightsheet Z.1 owners doing for Window 10 upgrades?

Zeiss has been helpful in general with suggestions for other systems, but current suggestion for our lightsheet Z.1 is to buy new computers ??? $$$

Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

About six weeks ago I heard from Zeiss that the Lightsheet Z.1 has to run 50% slower on Windows 10 due to issues with camera triggering. Maybe that's been solved. I was also told that if you have a HP Z840 acquisition PC, it may be updated to Windows 10 without buying a new computer.

For our Z.1 we're planning on keeping Windows 7 a bit longer and paying for Extended Support from Microsoft.

Thanks.
Sounds reasonable.
I'm thinking it would be good to keep the computer running the hardware at
Win 7 and consider updating the SWAP workstation to Windows 10, if that is
feasible/functional.
