CONFOCAL Digest - 20 May 2008 to 21 May 2008 (#2008-132)
Hi kevin,
Not sure if Tom Deerinck or Mark Ellisman at UCSD are on
this listserve but they are the pros at working with Qdots for LM/EM. Any
of their outstanding papers should be of use.
Anti-GFP - Qdot conjugates could be made from the ITK
(innovator's tool kit) Quantum Dots which are conjugatible and anti-GFP -
both available from Molecular Probes/Invitrogen. For example sku#
Q21341MP, 525 QDot nanocrystals are ready for EDAC linkage to amines
etc. Search terms 'ITK Qdots' gets you the entire listing. We
haven't made the direct conjugate.
Mike Ignatius,
Molecular Probes/Invitrogen

Does
anyone know of a commercial source for anti GFP gold conjugates for fluorescent
and electron microscopy?
Also
has anyone any experience of using Qdots for correlative
microscopy?
thanks
Kevin
