biorad MRC 600 replacement mirrors

Search the CONFOCAL archive at
http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal

Hello All:
I an trying to replace some parts in my biorad MRC 600 and I cannot seem to find anywhere
to buy mirrors of the correct size.  I am looking for M1 (round mirror, 19.05mm dia, 3.2mm
thickness with either gold or silver coating), and possibly the dichroic mirror, galvano
scanning mirrors, and concave mirrors on either side of the scan mirrors.  Any advice on
where to find these would be greatly appreciated.

I have gotten filters and dichroics from Chroma Tech (www.chroma.com).
May be they have mirrors as well.  Good luck!

Search the CONFOCAL archive at http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal The galvos are usually balanced for the weight of the attached scanning mirrors.  If there is a significant weight difference in the replacement mirrors you may need to recalibrate them.
As for replacements, you might be able to find a similar size mirror off-the-shelf if you can get away with a little size variation.  Anchor optics has odd sized surplus mirrors periodically, and 25, 12.5, and 10mm are all standard sizes.
Otherwise you might have to talk to an optical shop.
