Dear colleagues,
I am looking for colour glass filters 650nm 20nm-bandpass filter and a near-IR RG9 glass filter for Nikon eclipse microscope which I can use in the transmission light path. The size of the filters are approximately 45mm in diameter. Mostly I find only colour glass filters which are 25.4 mm in diameter or square shaped filters. It would be really helpful if anyone can suggest a possible source of colour glass filters of 45mm diameter. Thanking you very much for your reply Deepak ******************************************************************* Deepak Nair, PhD "Physiologie Cellulaire de la Synapse" UMR 5091 CNRS Université Bordeaux 2 Institut François Magendie 33077 Bordeaux Cedex Tél. : 05 57 57 40 81 Fax : 05 57 57 40 82 e-mail : [hidden email] |

I would start by checking with Nikon but if they can't help, for colored-glass filters, try Schott: http://www.schott.com/advanced_optics/english/our_products/filters/index.html However, a 20 nm bandpass filter doesn't sound like a colored-glass filter--it will probably need to be an interference filter. Those can be obtained from companies like Omega Optical, Chromatechnology, and Semrock. Good luck! Omega and Chroma can make custom filters for a few hundred dollars.
Usually they just adapt a standard coating they already have, and you just tell them what size and shape you need the filter to be.
