*Position(s) in computational imaging*
*Computational Imaging and Modeling Unit *
*Institut Pasteur, Paris, France*
Our lab develops computational and experimental imaging and modeling
approaches for cell biology and microbiology. One of our main interests is
to leverage super-resolution imaging techniques to study processes ranging
from chromosome architecture and function to virus interactions with host
cells. We are interested both in applying state-of-the-art imaging methods
to biological questions and in pushing the limits of these technologies.
We currently seek coworkers for projects on single molecule
super-resolution imaging, in which computational analysis is a main
bottleneck. Therefore, the candidate is expected to have a strong
computational background, and will typically be trained in computer
science, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field. Training in
biology is not essential, but we require an interest in biomedical research
and a willingness to work in a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative
setting. Prior experience in image analysis, optics or microscopy would be
a significant plus.
We have openings for an engineer or postdoc position, which can lead to a
permanent research engineer position in our lab. We also welcome
applications from students interested in a PhD project.
