In addition to this collection of ORFs, over 100 empty backbones are available from the Davidson lab for tagging your gene of interest. The Davidson plasmid collection includes excitation/emission, localization, sequence, and supplemental information for many of the plasmids so you can easily find what you need. We currently have ~ 300 plasmids (empty backbones and mEmerald tagged ORFs) available for request, with more plasmids becoming available everyday. Browse the collection here <https://www.addgene.org/fluorescent_proteins/davidson/>. FP Guide at addgene https://www.addgene.org/fluorescent_proteins/ I also want to give a shout out to Loren Looger for posting mEos4 (though both bacterial expression) pRSETa_ mEos4a <https://www.addgene.org/51072/> (Plasmid #51072) pRSETa_ mEos4b <https://www.addgene.org/51073/> (Plasmid #51073) Douglas Kim and others for posting many versions of GCaMP6 (see online for more) pGP-CMV-GCaMP6f <https://www.addgene.org/40755/> (Plasmid #40755) pGP-CMV-GCaMP6m <https://www.addgene.org/40754/> (Plasmid #40754) pGP-CMV-GCaMP6s <https://www.addgene.org/40753/> (Plasmid #40753) Wolf Frommer, Robert Campbell, Loren & Douglas, and more, for FP biosensors at addgene https://www.addgene.org/fluorescent_proteins/biosensors/ More on FP biosensors at Wolf's site http://biosensor.dpb.carnegiescience.edu/biosensors and Newman, fosbrink and Zhang's Excel file supplement (free to download) http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/cr100002u old data in the FPaa file, and of course older spectra, freely available at http://works.bepress.com/gmcnamara/9/ On the flip side, the FP field is falling way behind the CRISPR/Cas (really Cas9/sgRNA) and TALEN field in terms of accessible plasmid and kits. https://www.addgene.org/Genome_Engineering/ best wishes and may all your photons be bright and electrons be clean, George -- George McNamara, Ph.D. Single Cells Analyst L.J.N.
