Any recommendation regarding the camera? Many thanks in advance, Best, Laurent. ____________________________________________ Laurent Gelman, PhD Head of Facility for Advanced Imaging and Microscopy (Light Microscopy) Friedrich Miescher Institute WRO 1066.2.16 Maulbeerstrasse 66 CH-4058 Basel Fix: +41 (0)61 696 35 13 Mobile: +41 (0)79 618 73 69 Fax: +41 (0)61 697 39 76 www.fmi.ch<http://www.fmi.ch/> www.microscopynetwork.unibas.ch/<http://www.microscopynetwork.unibas.ch/> |

Depending on the wavelengths they are most sensitive to, this may be Germanium (http://www.flir.com/uploadedFiles/Thermography/MMC/Brochures/T559243/T559243_EN.pdf). I am not an expert, but it seems to me that there could be a problem with the IR wavelengths of interest being transmitted by the dissecting scope's glass lenses. My $0.02.
