I am a PhD student working on aquatic parasites of Omani fish. I would like to inquire about whether you do international Confocal Microscopy services. I would like to send specimens of some detected parasites to study them using confocal microscopy in preparation for my PhD thesis. The parasites which i would like to analyze are from the class Monogenea. they are small (1-2mm long), very flat and transparent. I have worked with a research group before using Confocal Micrscope on monogenea and this is how they did it " using alchohol fixed samples, rinsed in DW for 24hrs, transfer to 40 mM chromotrope 2R+ 3 mM phosphotungstic acid + 0.5% acetic acid for 4 hrs at room temperature or (0.2U ul-1 methanol) Alexa Fluor 594 phalloidin in 100 ul DW for 5 hrs. Their confocal isnt working at the moment that is why i am seeking another exist. i would like to obtain images of the MCO ( Male copulatory organ )which is a complex hard structure (sclerotized) used for reproduction and Vaginal vestibule. I would like to obtain 3D images of these structures as it is important to understand the morphology and function of these structures. |
