I'm finding these easily enough for 1x3 slides, but not for bigger slides. Coverglass correction collar objective lenses are available. Also, current GPU deconvolution (www.microvolution.com -- you can also check with SVI.nl for huygens) can correct for non-optimal coverglass thickness. Real coverglass thickness -- at least at the edges -- are easy to measure by standing up the coverglass vertically and imaging with the microscope. // for those down under, see https://proscitech.com.au/?navaction=show_page&chapter=g&page=2#g426-11277 enjoy, George On 8/24/2016 3:49 PM, Nathan wrote: > ***** > To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: > http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy > Post images on http://www.imgur.com and include the link in your posting. > ***** > > Hi everyone, > > Does anyone know of a supplier for cover glass for 2x3" (5 x 7.6cm) > slides that are of higher precision thickness (e.g., 170+-5 microns)? > > I'm finding these easily enough for 1x3 slides, but not for bigger slides. > > Thanks much, > Nate > > Nate O'Connor > https://www.linkedin.com/in/nathanoconnor > MBF Bioscience > > > > > On Thu, May 5, 2016 at 1:03 PM, George McNamara <[hidden email]> > wrote: > >> ***** >> To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: >> http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy >> Post images on http://www.imgur.com and include the link in your posting. >> ***** >> >> Hi Simon, >> >> https://www.proscitech.com.au/?navaction=show_page&chapter=g&page=2 >> >> Coverglass Circles section has 50mm diameter. >> >> G403 >> Coverglass No.1, Ø 50mm >> >> >> >> The top of the web page has this useful information on coverglass >> thickness specifications: >> >> Standard thickness >> No.0 ......... 0.08 ‐ 0.12 mm >> No.1 ......... 0.13 ‐ 0.17 mm >> No.1.5........ 0.16 ‐ 0.19 mm >> No.2 ......... 0.19 ‐ 0.23 mm >> No.3 ......... 0.28 ‐ 0.32 mm >> No.4 ......... 0.38 ‐ 0.42 mm >> No.5 ......... 0.50 ‐ 0.60 mm >> >> I did not see any large round coverglasses at >> http://brainresearchlab.com/product/cover-glass-all-sizes/ >> but you might call or amil Brain Research Laboratories to see if they >> simply did not make them easy to find on their web site. >> >> best wishes, >> >> George >> [hidden email] >> p.s.
