please, submit your abstract asap to get a seat at the School of Photonics on Advanced Optical Methods that will be held in Cortona, Tuscany, March 30 - April 4 2014.
The school of photonics in Cortona was hosted for the first time in 2013 by the Scuola Normale Superiore on the initiative of Miriam Serena Vitiello and Alessandro Tredicucci from CNR and in collaboration with SIOF. Given the success and the large enthusiastic participation, SIOF decided to make this school a regular event of its own, with a different topic and a different Chair every year.
This year the school is chaired by Alberto Diaspro of IIT and the objective is to discuss progresses in optical microscopy from super resolution methods to advanced linear and non linear techniques, starting from the generalised microscope. Theory, implementations and applications will be linked for a better understanding of performances and limitations of such modern optical microscopy methods.
