Dear List

Would anybody know a vendor who offers

Glass slides (Corning Inc. [8]) with a size of 0.5 inch × 3 inch and a thickness of 1 mm
0.5  x    3   inch
12.7 x   76.19 mm

I found following article I cant get a hold of, but Corning assured me they don't have these slides. Does anybody have that article?

A large format membrane-based x-ray mask for microfluidic chip ...
by L Wang - 2006 - Cited by 2 - Related articles
Glass slides (Corning Inc. [8]) with a size of 0.5 inch × 3 inch and a thickness of 1 mm were... Figure 3(a) is a silicon nitride x-ray mask with a window ...

Thanks,
Cheers

Axel,

I can't get the article unless I pay $ 30.00, but I'm wondering
whether this is just a typo. 1" x 3" x 1 mm (or 25 mm x 75 mm x 1 mm)
would be a standard microscope slide. This is also the format
typically used for micro arrays. Does it look from the figure that
their slide is half the width of a normal slide? Does it need to be?....

Of course, I suppose you can also have them cut by a local glass or
machine shop. A Google search for "custom microscope slide" gave me a
few hits, such as this company that creates custom microfluidics slides:

http://www.translume.com/slides.htm

and this site lists slide/glass manufacturers:

Are you sure it's not just a typo in the paper?

This is a contact for someone who can create this size glass slide as a custom if it isn't a typo.

No commercial interest.
