On behalf of the RMS, we are pleased to announced more details about *The
Microscience Microscopy Congress 2019* - mmc2019,  Manchester 1 – 4 July
2019

*Call for Abstracts and Imaging Competition*

*About mmc2019*
The Microscience Microscopy Congress 2019 is set to be as big and as bold
as ever with 36 conference sessions, an exhibition with more than 100
companies represented, a brilliant selection of features such as pre-event
workshops and turn-up-and-learn training opportunities and a busy social
programme.

*Submit your abstract now!*
Oral and Poster abstract submission is currently open for mmc2019.  Go to
www.mmc-series.org.uk/abstract-submission where you can create an account
and then submit your abstract.  The deadline for submitting your abstract
is Friday 15 February 2019.

We are accepting abstracts in the following mmc streams:
 Frontiers in BioImaging
 Scanning Probe Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy
 Life Sciences
 Engineering and Physical Sciences

You can also submit abstracts to sessions hosted by the following groups:
 The Scottish Microscopy Group
 The Microscopy Society of Ireland
 The Electron Microscopy Analysis Group of the IoP (EMAG) in
Instrumentation and Materials

*Imaging Competition*
The RMS Scientific Imaging Competition is a great opportunity for
microscopists from across the world to showcase their skills with previous
competitions attracting interest from BBC Earth and The Times. It provides
a great outlet for those that can capture the breath-taking and engaging
beauty of the microscopical world. Shortlisted entries will be displayed at
mmc2019 which is also where the competition winners will be announced and
awarded. Prizes are provided by many of the sponsoring companies at mmc2019
and in previous years have boasted cameras, binoculars, iPads and vouchers
as prizes.

Entries are invited to the following categories:
 Electron Microscopy – Life Sciences
 Electron Microscopy – Physical Sciences
 Light Microscopy – Life Sciences
 Light Microscopy – Physical Sciences
 Scanning Probe Microscopy
 Short Video
 Other (if outside of scope of categories above)

Entries are being accepted until Tuesday 30 April 2018. Please go to
