We are now considering options for these coatings, but I cannot track specifically th einfo regarding the different surface charges. This occurred some time ago, and I may be mixing up things, but if anyone has any hint, advise, or experience, I would be most grateful. The carboxyl functionalized particles tend to be non-specifically "sticky" in biological system and so appropriate precautions should be taken when working with or further functionalizing these particles. The amine surface, however, is passivated with a PEG layer that eliminates "stickiness" in biological systems.
