quencher far red

Dear all,

Does someone know of a good quencher for dyes which emit in the far red region, such as e.g. Cy5? Tripan Blue does not seem to work for such far-red fluorophores, at least not in our hands.

Thanks,

Kevin

** VENDOR RESPONSE **

Hi, Kevin,

QSY21 is a good choice.  See the following links for more information.

This is available in a succinimidyl ester form from Molecular Probes, product Q20132.

Cheers,

Jason
