searching for 405 laser photoactivatable dye

Search the CONFOCAL archive at http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal
Dear list,

I am looking for a fluorescent dye that I could couple to a protein toxin. After incubation with some cells, I want to photo-activate the dye by irradiation with a laser on the confocal. Unfortunately, we dont have a real UV but only 405nm lasers (or 444,476,488,514,543,561,594,633,647). Any suggestions for a suitable dye? Of course we could produce a FP-fusion of the toxin, but is there a simple dye that can do the job?

Thanks & regards, jens
