spillage inside the microscope chamber

Thank you list for the useful suggestions on CNT Imaging problem.
The user will plan her experiment with more dilution with non Flourescent
CNTand also first binding at low temp and then studying uptake at 37.

I have one more query related to the sterilization of microscope chamber if
some infectious live samples gets spilled or leak from the dishes.
We have Nikon A1R live imaging set up and many users come with infectious
live samples including blood. In this condition, i am worried about the spillage
on to the objectives and inside the chamber.

One cannot avoid spillage as it happens accidentally or carelessness. What
do you mean by “Sterilization” of microscope chamber?



Carbon tetrachloride can be used to clean the objectives. But one needs to
have proper expertise to do this with appropriate lens cleaning tissue
papers (like Kodak Lens Tissue). The chamber can be cleaned with Ethyl ether
or Ethanol or Acetone. Avoid using acetone if there is any plastic part.
