Dear Confocal listserv members,
still time for early registration for Microscopy & Microanalysis (M&M) -
here in Baltimore, Aug 5-9, 2018.
https://www.microscopy.org/mandm/2018/Rates go up beginning June 26.
https://www.microscopy.org/MandM/2018/registration/fees.cfmThe Baltimore Convention Center is a short taxi/uber/lyft/etc ride from
our image core on JHU's East Baltimore campus.
We manage a Leica SP8 confocal microscope
http://confocal.jhu.edu/current-equipment/leica-sp8-confocal-microscopeThe purchase order for our new Olympus FV3000RS confocal microscope went
out last week, tentative ship date in, don't know if it will be here by
early August. Our thanks again to all involved in the NIH S10 shared
instrumentation grant program that funded this instrument. Also thanks
to Olympus for generous trade in of our Zeiss LSM510META confocal
scanhead. The rest of the 510's body may be available.
Lastly, please be careful where you go in Baltimore.
sincerely,
George
p.s. the Microscopy Society of America (MSA) used to be called the
Electron Microscopy Society of America (EMSA) - the meeting is still
heavily weighted towards e- than photons. That said, there will still be
light.
