I've reused uncoated Mattek dishes for primary skeletal muscle fibers used the same day as they were isolated. I found that a quick sponge wash with Alconox followed by a rinse in distilled tap water and then a 70% ethanol rinse worked quite well. But, I only could wash the dishes twice before subsequent fiber preps would stop adhering to the glass. Never had a problem with the "crispness" of images, as long as the cells stuck to the dish.

Subject: Mattek dishes
Has anyone ever reused Mattek dishes? I have a user who is trying to save some money and is cleaning their dishes with a detergent, rinsing and exposing to UV light. The cells look "funny' to me in that I can't seem to get a crisp image. Does anyone have any experience with reusing dishes?
Thx!
Mary
