Dale Calaham refers to the following article:
Alenka Lovy-Wheeler, Joseph G. Kunkel, Ellen G. Allwood, Patrick J.
Hussey, and Peter K. Hepler (2006) Oscillatory Increases in
Alkalinity Anticipate Growth and May Regulate Actin Dynamics in
Pollen Tubes of Lily Plant Cell 18: 2182-2193; (This is open access
article so anyone may check it out). The video with auido is the
supplemental file.
Alenka collaborated with a composer to make a score for the video to
help appreciate the various rhythmic behaviors in the pollen tube. I
note that this was not simply a mashup with extant audio tracks but
involved newly composed music. I think asking for new music would
enliven the competion.
